Alrighty..... i tried the "search" function and read a gazillion threads and still have not found any real helpful info on how to make the upper section of the chopped to fit the lower section. There is 1 inch difference in the bottom of the windshield frame to the top.

I removed 5 5/8 and have everything fitting really well except the front posts.... before i mess it up i thought i'd put it out there for you guys who have already done this to help me out with info...and possibly pic's

As well, how many have kept the top hinge?

And since the windshield is kinda on the small side...how many have made the top section (where the hinge for the frame bold on to) smaller to make the windshield a little larger?

    thanks....here is what i'm talk'n about.

Pie cut to get them posts to align. Shrink the windshield frame.

First of all take that windshield out...you'll need to cut it later on.

What you are showing is a common problem when whacking an A and that distance gap isn't as bad as you think. There's a couple ways to fix it. One way is aligning the driver side, thowing a few good tacks on it, then moving over to the p***enger side and using a C clap to pull the upper and lower sections of the post together. It doesn't take much to pull it in line. Some guys use a port o power for it ome sometimes. After getting the p***enger side lined up you tack that side.

Another way is making relief cuts on the top and bottom of each side and slowly and carefully moving things around until it's just right. The first way is easier though.

After you get the post aligned and welded then you fit the windshield frame. Dis***emble it and cut at the ends.

Not the best pic..but this is one I just did, everything lined up nicely

Aline the outside edges and tack them in place. Then start pie cutting and filling until it all looks straight. You will have the same fun on the qtr windows. Save the doors for last. You will need every bit of your newly aquired skills here.

    Some photos of mine.

Don't cut the middle out of the windshield frame sides. It comes apart at the top corners.
