Hey guys, With it getting darker earlier every day, colder every day, getting home later every week and the car being all around stuborn lately i figured id throw a post up asking for a little inspiration. so lets see your 38-48 fords done up dark and mean ala the cochran 38, moonshine cars etc. the insides, the outsides, the motors, lets see em!
This car is an old shine runner or so the story goes. They were normally pretty plain cars as not to attract attention. Sometimes they were souped up old jalopies but more often then not they were just old cars. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=602459
cool I think thats why i prolly chose to include the 'ryans coupe' style as well. i suppose i could have gone further in explaining what i was looking for. so i guess think, fat fenders, hot motor, rubber rake, attidtude, but in a thug in the alley kind of way not in some flashy look at me style.

search ""Moonshine festival Dawsonville Georgia"" More 40s and real trip cars than you could think of.. After 1951 or so most of the trip cars needed to blend in with the traffic.
Tim I have actually been in that car when it was doing that stuff. In traffic of course. I don't think the bosses car was a shine runner but I understand from something that I read that it did change owners at one time without the original owner knowing about it 'til later.
Yeah? I think I just put the style of the 38 and the moonshine style/ ideas together because they're both pretty no bullshit hot rod to me. Angry cars
