Hey there! Got me a 1950 ford Custom (Purchased from the member dullchrome) Flathead Inline 6. 3 spd. 6 to 12v converted. I am BLANK SLATE on all that is this car and honestly on all that is mechanical. Minus oil changes, bleeding brakes, and changing pad/rotors, etc...all simple stuff. I want to learn. I need to learn. No idea about anything on the motor or the carb. Any members from my area? I would like to learn as much as I can about my car. Local meets? I heard from a ex cop (ODO Inc) that works @ my college that there use to be "Chop Meets" or something like that where I can learn and watch members work on another members car. Does that still go on? Anyone and anything would REALLY help. I want to maximize this forum, but I dont even know what to search. My last car was a 69 VW Fuel injected 12v automatic Squareback that was mechanically sound so I never had to tinker with her. Thanks! -Dre
Looks like a driver to me, just as it is... As posted, there are a ton of guys on the HAMB that live near you in the Valley. As a suggestion, you might try to post a thread when some of those guys might actually be awake, instead of close to 2 A.M. on a weekday.... Good luck!
