Depends on what you find and what level of finish will make you happy, you could spend a lot more time and money to cherry out an original than to scuff and shoot a repro. Brookville is making them so good, it is hard to tell the difference. Ask Hatch, he's a body man by trade and still opted to run a new brookville body, more time crusing!

Check out the throttler's roadster pickup.... Looks like they just used a cowl and built everything from there....

Throttler's roadster pick up is definitely sweet.
However, I don't really want my rpu to be a road sweeper. I think the fact that I want it to have a modified stance has somewhat complicated my parts list.
Like I said, hopefully after Sunday's swap I'll have a better idea of what I want vs what I have. (And Curly will walk away with a crap load of parts....maybe.... : ) )

I went, I saw and I swapped nothing. Pretty much a waste of time except the cool crashed blimp pictured I bought with a bunch of old cars in it.
I was the top sheetmetal sales person with the whopping 2 fenders I took to sell.
I guess I am back to looking at catalogs and junkyards to find a roadster body.
Let's just hope my headers come today so I can get back to the '48....
