This is a crazy question, but I used to own a 57 chevy 4 door wagon. It was turqoise with a white top and had turqoise and white interior. The distinguishing mark was a mickey mouse sticker in the back window. I sold it to a guy in town (leitchfield KY) and he traded or sold it to some one in either tennessee or NC or SC. Not sure. He put torque thrust wheels on it and lowered it and put discs on the front. The car had the original wheel, a 283 out of a 67 chevelle and the original powerglide. It came from california and I was the second owner of it. The last time I saw it, it was being sold on ebay about 5 or 6 years ago. I know it's a crazy question but if any one knows where it is, I would like to know. Thanks for your help.

Good luck. With that color combination I would think you'll have a hard time. Plus, Mickey is probably long gone off the back window.....

Yeah, i thought that too. But, when I saw it on ebay, it still had mickey on it. I know it's a long shot. Not wanting to buy it back or anything unless it's in need of a new home. Just wanting to know what happened to it.

Indeed. I was forced to sell it. I know hindsite makes everything better, but it came from california and the chrome was great. All the glass was great and it had been repainted 2 years prior. It was a good car. I put a cam in it because it was worn out and rebuilt the 2 barrell. Ran like a dream. I sure do miss it.

No help but maybe a little hope. A few years ago I read an eBay ad and thought I recognized the car. A quick dialog with the seller confirmed that it was the same car I had sold in the 70's. Sometimes they do pop up.

Have you tried posting on www.trifive.com ? There might be more people there who would know about it since that's their specialty. Just a thought....

Thanks man. Why come on here with help when there is always sarcasm? I was just asking if it got a good home. That's it. Nothing more. I was forced to sell it, regret it, hoped it's ok. That's all. But again, thanks for your help.

Do you have the VIN? It would be on an old copy of the registration.

Once a week somebody tries to find thier old car that they got rid of. No pics, a vague discription or one that matches a 100 or more cars. I personaly so far have worked on 3 cars that match your discription, plus seen alot more. 4dr 57 wagons painted those colors. ..... This is why Im being a dick about this.

I know it's been about a year, but I found these pics after going through my old emails. I sent these to a guy on ebay in december of 2005. They are smaller, but maybe will tell the tale. This is all I have left of it. Thanks for any help you can give.

I know it's been about a year and probably gonna get smashed on this, but I am still looking for this car. My mother passed away this week and she helped me find this car. I would just like to know what happened to it. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it. Thanks.

  23. That's a popular color and maybe the Mickey is easily removed, but those vertical bumper guards on the front are not something you usually see on a '57. The rubber Dagmars are the more popular guard and you have both. Possibly an ad with a pic or two in a national publication with a large readership like Hemmings might get you a lead on its whereabouts. Best wishes in locating your old '57 SW.

In 2010 someone suggested that you post something on TriFive.com. Haven't seen a post on TriFive with pictures concerning the wagon you are looking for...

I have some results on a carfax scan. Looks like it was last registered in brooklyn center minnesota. I know the guys name, but I can't find a number. I would rather not post that. Is there anyone out there in that area that may know of this car? Thanks for all your help.

You were able to get a carfax on a 57? That in itself is interesting.

Sorry for your loss. Good luck with your search. You might also try chevytalk.com under the tri five section.

    PS: Neat car!

Found it. I talked to the guy that owns it. He drives it and goes camping with it. Said if and when he got ready to sell it, he would give me first shot. Thanks for all the help guys.
