Hey folks, I am looking for members of the Perris Undertaker's car club of Perris CA from the mid to late sixties. My father and uncle were both members of the club from about 1965-69 before being drafted and I am looking for any other memebers that may still have their club plaque as well as any who remember details of the club car raced around so Cal. Thanks.

I just got through talking to my friend Tim and he says he new all of the Undertakers. Some of the names he mentioned were Gary Raymond,Tom Parker and **** Walker. He mentioned a guy named Bruce that has a yellow C-Cab and it has the Undertakers car plaque on it.He was curious about your dad & uncle's names,He probably knew them too! He was asked to join them but he's not into clubs.

You should see Perris High now...I remember nothing but fields and no signals. Except the one that crossed 215 up from the high school. You had to make it across a set of tracks and a highway. Scary in the fog.

I just got off the phone with my friend Tim and he told me that he humg around the Undertakers from 1959-63 and that Phil Williams & David Connal don't ring a bell.He did tell me he remembers a William's family and a girl named Esther from Nuevo that had a trucking company that hauled potato's.Tim has breakfest every Thursday with an original memmber at Jenny's Cafe in Perris and he will ask him.

Yeah same family, Esther, is dads older sister. I am pretty sure **** Walker had an Anglia with a SBC in it. Still trying to track down some more information on other members. Do you think Tim may know how to get in touch with Bruce, I would like to see if I can get a tracing of the plaque to have a couple made for my dad and uncle.

Don't worry, if you wait long enough, the undertakers will find you.

Have you thought about just asking Dennis O'Brien from O'Brien's Truckers if he has the plaque? he has 1000's of them. Not saying you don't want to establish contact, but if Dennis has an original plaque it will be easy to get one, or two.

As a matter of fact, out of the 12,000 old patterns I have, not one has Perris on it.

Dennis, Looks like Tim still has his plaque from the late 50's I am hoping to get a tracing, picture of photocopy of it to have it reproduced. My dad and uncle will be very surprised if it can be pulled off.

Yeah, I did e-mail Tim and he got right back to me which was very cool. I did get Bruce's contact information and am looking forward to getting in touch with him. Another great H.A.M.B success story, thanks again!

I am pretty sure my dad still has his club shirt and my uncle his club jacket and a couple other small items. I am working on getting my hands on them.

I was a member in the early 60s. Had a 57 Chevy during that time. I had the club s****book for years. Ralph Tocco has it now.

I went to school with both. Didn't Dave have a turquoise and white 56 Nomad that got hit broadside after a drag race up by Cliff Fogler's house?
