Hey anyone remember the creme colored Salft Flat racer Rambler that was in some articles in Hot Rod back in the late 80's early 90's?? The one with the chili pepper graphics...I am looking for a picture of it...can not find any, thanks for any help.
If I'm not mistasken that was Vern Tardel's car. Also, if I'm not mistaken, it had a great motor hidden under the hood - a flathead, of course! C'mon, somebody got to have some pics of this piece of history.
Yeah, it was (is?) Tardel's and it had a flathead from a tank. Also a lift off fiberglass roof insert, it was way cool (spicy?!). American Rodder had a nice feature on it 10 or 15 years ago (?), I'll try and find it....
Try this (sorry I couldn't down load the pic) http://www.landracing.com/ click on photo gallery in the upper left menu click on Bonneville Speedweek album (top left) click on 2000 (yr) click on Aug. 13 2000 click on pg. 2 bottom row 2nd from left, and there may be more (?)
