Looking for some advice on my rearend..bumper that is

I've got a chopped 52 buick that needs a rear bumper. It was built in the 60's thinking the car would never have a rear bumper again. The rear of the car has been molded, so I will have to cut into her. Just for the bumper brackets. I just picked up a 50 buick bumper. I want to run the exhaust thru the bumper-ates. I just can't decide split two piece or leave it alone. I photo shopped a pic. Tell me what you think.
