I've been listening to a lot of first wave ska and Elvis Costello. As far as billy I gotta go with The Kings of Nuthin'.

Haven't seen anyone mention The Trip Daddies. If you want to hear something really different check out an album called Steam Kodiak Ultrararities From The 60's Singapore & South-East Asia Underground Grey Past Records. It's asian 60's garage music.

    Detroit guys know:

    Oldies 104.3 WOMC

...Gets old after a while. I had a CD player in the garage, but it has since gotten f**ked up from the garage dust and metal schrapnel. F**kin new technology. I listened to a couple Johnny cash CD's before it puked, now I'm back to oldies radio, until someone gives me a free CD player. :)

  8. Man get the Sonics, put Boss Hoss on and CRANK it up LOUD!!!!!!! Jack Baymore, Heywoods (from Santa Cruz if you can find their CD) Mischief from Sweden? Get some Good garage stuff MC5, Thee Mighty Ceasers, Headcoarts, Iggy & the Stooges, Milkshakes, get a good Wanda Jackson comp album man she really did rock! Collins Kids, I like Commander Cody too, always think outside the box on music and mix it up!

I remember one year at Paso my buddies from the Strangers were sitting around their cars, this was one of the years that it was a "super greaser bad*** fest" and kind of lame but I loved the fact that these guys were wailing Kiss at max volume out of a Model A coupe, all the little BPWB (Betty Page wanna bees) & Ness clones did'nt know what to think.

Just go $20 bucks on some used stuff that looks cool and try it out...oh yeah and Nashville *****, now thats wrenching music!

I forgot in my other post to mention Ministry Psalm 69, especially Jesus Built My Hotrod with Gibby Haynes  Actually I have not listened to that in a while, but I used to love listening to that CD and The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste. I need to dig them back out and spin 'em.
