The first 4 pictures are of my Model A are of as it sits today minus the blanket seat cover which is done now and the headlights have been repositioned. Anyway, I have been tinkering with the idea of maybe adding a hood, in the 5th photo with no chop, a hood with a chop, and just for kicks I threw in some hubcaps. The wheels that are on it are mid 50's Lincoln rims so I am kind of leaning on not adding hubcaps (no cllips). The photos showing the hood, hood with chop, and hood with chop and hubcaps are from the paint program at work (don't have photoshop here) so please bear with the crudeness. I plan on painting the car this spring or summer probably black. Just wanted to get some opinions. Thanks.

I dig the mild chop with the caps. As for the hood, put one on, and take it off whenever you want, best of both worlds.

Hood or not, please lower your grill shell. Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine for a car to have the grill shell too high for a hood, even if it runs hoodless.

It's my opinion to have a hood and choped with the caps. Killer car even as is!

Like ****** said, don't bother with the hood until after you get that radiator sectioned down the same amount, or to the same height the body was channeled, but don't go nuts like on that Piss-Yaller American Graffiti coupe, that just looked and still looks dumb.
I like channeled Model A's not chopped, it's the traditional "East Coast Look," but if you do you need to go farther than the photoshop. Go down until the 1/4 window is "square," height same as the length of it.

Thanks for all the input. I know the shell looks higher in the pictures, but I swear it is below the cowl. I even went a rechecked after reading some of the replies. I think it may be the support rods causing an optical illusion. Anyway I already have a 3" chopped Walker radiator on it and the grill shell is right against the top of the radiator. I'll take some time today to see if I can get it down some more. I'm gonna take into account all the ideas here and decide what to do before I paint this summer. Any wheel color recommendations?

The car looks nice any which way
but I like it with the hood top, and the chop.
Black is *****in'. Caps or no caps, either looks nice.
The radiator shell height looks fine to me.

I like it the way it is, if i did anything i'd do the chop, but leave the rest alone. MAYBE a set of whitewalls, (goodyear super cushions, they look more authentic than the coker-firestones.) but i like the blackwalls too.

I like it! Try dropping the Radiator like you said and I am partial to a good chop top myself and Hub caps! Sharp ride which ever way YOU like it!
