    Hey everyone,

In a few months, I am going to be replacing the floor in my 56 Chevy. I've never done it before, and I was hoping there was some HAMBer locally (central Florida - Orlando area) that might be willing to help me with it. I'd pay you, or trade parts, or help you with something.

I'm a little intimidated about doing it myself, as I am wanting to order a one piece floor w/braces and I am worried about safety issues with lifting the body and what not. Plus I am a terrible welder.

I don't want to drop it off at a shop because I want to learn to do it myself; I would just feel better if I had someone with some experience there helping me with it.

Anyway, PM me or reply to the post if you are interested, and we can go from there. Sorry if this is an O/T post.

Did you ever get this done ?

I can't help you, but i thought the way you asked was cool. Alot of dudes would never come on here and say they are intimidated by a job

    If you haven't got it done . . . . . .

    BTTT for you

Man one peice? you have it easy! I had to do it in two pieces. I was in the same spot not too long ago. There seemed to be no one who had ever done it before. So I was basically up to myself to figure it out. I made a few mistakes but I was able to repair most of them. After a ton of welding one side is done and almost ready to finish welding the other side.
I found a good site that shows a chevelle going through the process The guy doing the work is super obssesive about every part of the job so watch out for that.

I would be willing to answer any question or help any way I can. I did the job on my cutlass but it should still relate to your car in many ways.
