Looking for something different to power my 34 ford Truck

    How about a straight-8, you would probably have to make your rod a couple of feet longer than planned but they look so cool.:D

    Well if you are suggesting Nissan VH45s (Infinity 4.5), I suppose the Nissan TB42 (Carbed cast iron 4.2 straight 6) under my bench might be suitable for something in the future.

    If you want to go modern, look at the Ranger Duratec 2.3. Will give 200 hp without opening the engine, has great torque and is very light. Use afermarket EFI or Webers.

    okay I acquired a 413 without an intake...how would this look in the ole `34? Anyone using a 413 in their rod?

    I love my Chev engines, but avoid them at all cost! n Only motor I'd run would be a W.

    Other than that, I'd go with a Studie, early Cad, small Hemi, nailhead, or Y block.
