I had my 40 painted with Volkswagen Tornado Red.....I asked for a red that looks like fresh blood and this is what we came up with...it`s a very strong colour. (Sorry about the picture size...just off out the door to work and do not have time to resize it....)
This worked for me! "HOT RED" off PPG Hot Licks and Kool Colors chart. However, I used Spies/Hecker paint.
I hate red cars lol, and with that being said about 75% of the cars I have owned are red, and one of the two best ones is this vw color (I currently have that on an O/T car), and bmw has a slightly darker shade that came on E46 M3 that is just ***y
My first car was Viper Red.. I loved that color. The color on my caddy is really nice too, its a stock shade and has a real nice darker tint to it. Chevy Victory red is real nice too
Originally called India red, Porsche Guards red is very hard to beat for a lot of "Pop". Ferrari reds are generally more of a blood red, more blue in them and very rich, but not so much "pop". Mini Cooper has a very bright red that is pleasing and so does Mitsubishi There is also Boyd's Red (Dupont or PPG, can't remember)
I used the same red as on the dodge pickups. The Hot licks by ppg is astounding in how red it is, like a cranium bleed, I like it. Remember that red really loves its clear coat, it gives it that wet look that really pops the color.
I wanted a red that did NOT turn orange in different lights, I used 1992 Pontiac "bright red". I have gotten tons of compliments on it in all light conditions........but like one person already said, it is what "you" define as "poppin'"
I saw a car at NSRA Nats and loved the color. Owner said it was called "Rennisance Red", PPG I think. I'm looking for something darker, more like the old "Candy Apple Red" from when my eyes didn't need trifocals
There was a truck at goodguys this weekend with the most awesome red. i asked what color it was and he said it was the stock chevy red for the HHR.
I Photoshopped this car for another HAMBer, got the color off of Big John Mazmanian's Willys G***er. This red screams!
we painted my old mans chevelle ppg GM victory red. Hes always said "fire engine red" but the painter laid down a test pannel using the victory red and we were sold.
