When I bought my 48 Ford COE(without a bed on it), the guy I bought it from delivered it to me in the purchase price. He brought it about 100 miles on a tandem axle trailer(it looked like about a 22' trailer with 2 3500 lb axles), and he pulled it with a 1/2 ton pickup. Let me say that I would have never attempted that with my 1/2 ton truck and trailer, which is the reason I paid him to do it with his. It was obviously way overloaded with that setup. I believe you need at least a 3/4 ton truck and a trailer with 2 5,000 lb axles. Just my opinion after seeing his truck and trailer squatted down with my truck on it.

My '42 Ford COE with 12' flatbed was 5260 on the scales with driver. I was really surprised that it didn't weigh any more than that.

EDIT: lol I just noticed that this thread is over 2 years old. oh well. Still good info for maybe someone else to utilize..... :)

Here ya go! what Wheelbase is your truck? so depending on Tires and your wheelbase it should be between 4700 and 5000 lbs with no flatbed or other accessories etc.
