I am currently running M&H street slicks on Dog Spit and have been looked at sideways several times by the local constabulary. Besides I want to drive on a 3000 mile tour next spring. I am looking for a tire bias or bias look that will maintain the current look. I have another set of Halibrands with a deeper backset to pull the wheels a little more into the wheel wells. The current tire has a 12.50" section with a 10.00" tread. I'd like to reduce that down by about 2" but maintain the 29" diameter. I have searched Summit, Speedway and Coker and may be close, but I am not really happy. I don't really want red lines, whitewalls or raised letters, would prefer blackwalls, but if anyone has a suggestion, I'd love to hear it. I blew the blower motor last fall and replaced it with a new carbureted engine leaving the engine compartment a little empty. I have access either to a Weber injection setup or a tunnel ram running three 97s. I am also changing the headers to either Lakester or dumps. Any opinions would be welcome. Warren
Awsome looking sedan. I like the look of the 4 x2 webers carbs, not sure why your calling it Weber injection ? As for tires, piecuts? Hearders, anything but the over used lakester that are off the self=the ones many just buy one shape fits all bad, that if open burn **** out of the cowel an door,vs making some that actully fit the car an point down an an away. So the're my 2cents as long as you asked
good luck, I don't know of anything. I run bias L78-15s on the street, and swap to 9x15 slicks when I race. They're on skinny rims, compared to what you have. about 28-29" tall. And the skinny little slicks will get me in the 9s on a really good day.
Sorry, meant to say injection look. Also, I'm leaning towards 4 runners into a collector, just not soo many bends like the current ones. These have baffles and no exhaust, most uncomfortable. New headers will be capped and routed into a rear exiting exhaust. These 72 year old ears just don't handle the noise like the Warren
