Can someone help me find out the year, and cu. inch size of a Chevy 6cyl. engine. The serial No. on the block is 3837004. It has a single barrel carb.and a duel point distributor. It also has a generator and is 12 volts. Right now it is in a 1930 model A hot rod, hooked up to a powerglide trans. I will also be looking for speed equipment and dress up items for this engine. Thanks.
That block casting number was used from 55-57, for more detailed info look for the number stamped on the block near the base of the distributor, and for the casting date code behind the starter near that casting number you provided. It's a 235 Chevy engine, btw
