Iam looking at picking up an A coupe.

Its a 1930 coupe no patches no rust has been restored by a amateur.
By restored I meen taken apart and put back together with new hardware and everything painted black with rustoleum or something similar. With that said it all looks real clean runs and drives well and is 100% stock.

The help I need is what should I pay for this car? I know its hard to say with out seeing the car in person but Iam just not sure what its worth like this?

I had owned and sold a sedan in original unrestored condition a couple years ago for 8k and it was quit a bit nicer than this coupe.

    So whats it worth?

  3. even with pictures it's hard to judge the quality of the restoration. was it a full frame off , or just something painted up to look nice? rust fixed correctly or just bondo-ed up? and how much of it would you actually use? if you replace the ch***is, re-do the interior and repaint it you might be better off just getting a good body

What's the asking price? Restored parts are probably worth less than originals in good condition. If it's been repainted, how do you know there isn't any rot? Around here, maybe 8-10 would be normal. Find out what they want, offer a lot less and see where the dust settles. Then, let us know.

Look at some of my past coupe posts.
    The maroon one was 7500
    The blue ine was 7500.

Both, I felt were "good" buys and worth a good 1500-2000 more.

To hard to copy and paste the pics from my phone...

Location has as much to do with the value as does the condition. Just because someone tried to restore it doesn't mean it was done correctly. I juess 5,000-7,500 is a ballbark number. Bob

Cosmetically enhanced would be a better description. I was putting a value of 7-9k so looks like I am in the ballpark.

If you like the car buy it. There is no shame in paying market price. People argue with the seller for a couple of hundred bucks and then spend $40k on the build ... just buy it.
