    Hi,

I have a 56 312 block and 57 heads. what is the best cam, carb, intake, pistons combo. The car has a Fordomatic trans in it currently. Looking to build a solid 312 engine to work with the transmission. What do you suggest. Also im in Southeast Michigan Does anyone know of a good y block shop to have the engine work done at.

    Thanks

I would ck out John Mummerts ford-y-block.com website for information & available parts. For machine work get in touch with Streetdreams over on Fordbarn. He lives in the Howell area and uses a guy near him that is familiar with Yblocks. I've seen the guy's work, he's good.
