Thinking of changing the blue on my 51. It needs rust repair and a repaint due to the previous paint job not looking good. Since it would be blown apart. I could start jamming it before it's bolted back together. Thinking of Maroon, or a green, or possibly another shade of blue. It's currently hot rod flatz Daytona blue. What do you think? 1460290017959.jpg

I had a '51 years ago painted a Chrysler "Cl***ic cream", sort of a real light yellow. With white walls I thought it looked pretty good. Having said that, my current '50 is jammed in Meadow green, but I'm considering black.

I think you could either tone back the paint a bit and go with a simpler color, or go for a more mild custom "show truck" vibe. The satin blue seems out of place to me. Goodluck!

I think that pale yellow with white walls and black wheels sounds good. I like blue, but if it isn't clean and neat it looks pretty sad pretty fast. Same with brown.
