Actually, I had some pretty bad brake fade by the time I was almost back home. I live in a pretty hilly area. I can see that all my brake work was breaking in and now needs another adjustment.

I was wondering why I was starting to see some oil leakage from the bottom front of the motor. 0DCBC82F-DC4C-4EC4-972D-5732AD7059BD.jpeg
I’ve also wondered what some of the extra bolts were for in a box that came with the roadster.

    Ahhh…. optional oil pan bolts.

Mounted my early Ford fog light. Haven’t completed the wiring yet. It’s a 6v sealed beam. I don’t want to blow it with 12v.

Officially decided to sell the coupe today. I had a couple of people asking me if I would consider selling it at the car show today. I need to make room (physically and financially) for my winter project.

You guys are tough. The coupe is near project completion. I’ll need another project. I will likely get something to replace the coupe eventually. I still have a whole other phase of project for the roadster which will require shop space and funds. Boys also love the 86 CJ7 which is a permanent family fixture.

Yes, the roadster got a lot of attention. Surprisingly there were a number of guys that were completely tracking that is was a traditional 1940s style hot rod. Of course most people said, “Nice rat rod!”, “What color are you gonna paint it?” Or “Do you really drive that on the road?” The guy next to me with the Extraordinary 32 roadster with a 327 kept telling me that I need to go to Jalopyroma. He said those would definitely be my people.

The old saying "You can't argue with ignorance" comes to mind here.....as does "In one ear and out the other".;)

Yes, but I don’t help matters by having a rat keychain and a rat trap on the floorboard. But as you guys know “Ratty” earned the name my boys gave him by the rat’s nest in the exhaust and general odor of rat pi$$ (which is almost gone now).

I’m looking for vintage/early ford/aircraft style seat belts (2) for the roadster. Got anything?

I’m also looking for a used canvas 30-31 roadster top. I really don’t want to use new canvas on my old car.

I’m going to say something that may get me booted off of the HAMB.

    “My roadster was too low.”

I had to raise the front about two inches to get some suspension travel clearance. The tie rod was hitting the oil pan.
