My 1956 Dodge Custom Royal has excessive play at the upper steering shaft bearing. Almost a 16th inch, which leads me to believe there's some mismatched parts? It's a pwr steering car, and the shaft measures about 7/8 at the bearing, does that sound right? The shaft doesn't appear damaged, so I'm considering using a repair sleeve if I can find the right size. This would save me removing the turn signal swich and wiring which would be preferred. Has anybody run into this before? Any help is appreciated Tom
