  3. a few more..this is in primer with a guide coat for blocking..first you spray primer,,let it fully cure, then you spray a light guide coat, then you use a long block with a fine grit sand paper, what happens is you sand of the guide coat, the longer block the better to get an even pass, if there is any guide coat left then you have an imperfection, you do this until you are sure you have got it completely straight, yes its time consuming, but if it is done right you get a perfect finish,

  23. Awesome indeed. I Love to see your threads, No badass, high dollar, super killer paint booth with equipment that cost more than the whole damned project. This is the true meaning of HOT RODs and Customs. or in this case Kuztomz. Jesse, you and the guys do hella fine work. Keep it up, and keep us posted. It just goes to show that you do not have to have a $20,000 paint job from a shop that has the most expensive tools, It is all in the knowledge and experience. If you know WTF you are doing, and do it right the first time, it will look just as kick ass as these badass rides do. I really dig the ass load of cars, and work you have goin on there. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry but it's not clear in the photo but it looks like you are using bodyfiller next to the headlights on top of painted surfaces not taking it to bare metal first? Have you had any problems with "pull away" of the filler from the paint especially in areas of flex like this spot?

Thanks for the update Jesse. Always enjoy seeing your shop in action.

  28. its hard to tell on this pic, but yes it got grinded down to bare metal, welded the seems, grinded some more then added some body filler, ..you also need to remember alot of this work is done by kids that are learning the trade, yes i go back and check everything before it gets moved to the next stage...and their is no need to bring the whole car down to bare metal, just the section you are working on, unless the car has been sitting out for years,

  29. 11'' hope this helps you out..and post some progress pics
