Jim taught hundreds of young kids over the years at Lincoln Tech. No telling how many more he influenced in traditional hotrodding. I met him years ago through my father in law who had the Mr. Bill's food service at the same school. Jim was a "one off" for sure.

Just terrible news. He helped me with a Grant Spaulding Flamethrower....a real stand up guy. Rest easy.

  12. Sad News …

    I first met Jim
    in 2009 when he recommended
    me to transport
    “ Simple T “ from his shop
    on Gasoline Alley in
    Indianapolis …

I hauled Simple T to an FBI agent
in California that Jim sold it to …

    IMG_9049.jpeg

    Jim always wanted to get
    Simple T back ….

Followed him on FB - lately he
was enjoying not so healthy food
so I have a feeling he knew time
    was limited …

    A Good Guy ….

    Jim

    Not a good Monday.
I only worked with Jim one time via the FordBarn years back for a conversion on my buddies Stude.
When I was searching for information on the FB on setting up my 221 distributor, his posts were golden.
    RIP Jim.

So sad to hear about his passing. He was very generous with his knowledge and showed interest in an off topic project that I was working on. He was key in helping me make the project work.
    He will be missed!

RIP Jim and condolences to your family and your friends.

During the parts gathering phase of my Y Block build for my RPU I got hold of an old Holley distributor.

I spoke to Jim and mailed it out to him and he rebuilt it, did the conversion to electronic and set the advance curve to operate properly without vacuum advance.

It’s working perfectly in my engine.
    Jim will be missed.

Always willing to answer my questions. Used several of his converted Chevy to Flathead distributors. His knowledge was endless and irreplaceable. RIP Jim.
