Another great score, Dean! Love it and will do some digging to see if we can come up with more info and photos of it. I checked with Bill Hines nephew, Teddy Z, if he had any info on the car and its possible connection with his uncle, but he told me "I dont think uncle bill did anything on that car but i first came to his shop in about1955 he was in business years before that doing allot of stuff."
Congratulations are in order, the car is now under the ownership of it's new caretaker and will be restored to it's former glory. HRP
Well done! How very well done. It is better that you acquired it than some old geezer whose only passion is having things. I look forward to seeing your finished car. Take your time but hurry, I'm an old guy .
That’s so cool. I live a few hours from Charlotte but I never thought anything cool was hiding out anywhere in the southeast. It’s inspiring knowing that car was out there.
Slowly taking the Street Rod out of her. Tomorrow I'll be putting the '40 Ford brakes back on the front so I can put decent wheels and tires back on! The F1 shock mounts will be next.
It sure looks familiar to me, congratulations on your acquisition. Lots of lead on a really neat coupe. I'll do so research in the little pages....
That car & story is as cool as a cool thing! Looking forward to seeing it progress @Kid Rocker are you planning on a build thread?
Got the '40 brakes on the front and the chrome wheels and tires from my other coupe just in time for The Congregation Show in Charlotte, NC this past weekend.
Just a little bump to see if anyone out there has any info or pics of this car from back in the day??
