Hi guys and gals, my name is Michael and I have been a lurker here for a year and a half, finally got razzed enough from my bros to join the massive fray of recent fng's (?!?). Gotta start somewhere, right? Like I said, been reading posts for a long time, learned alot and laughed alot more (some funny guys on here). Ive got a shop with my best bro Mark (sciflyer72) and a couple other guys where we tear stuff up. I have a 56 F100 that I'm doing sheet metal repair to now, which will be shaved, smoothed, bagged, c-notched in the rear and get a camaro front clip with a pontiac mill. Also putting in a 59 chevy dash, my favorite dash ever. Ain't gonna be easy but I'm ready to heat it and beat it! Bring it on! Also helping Mark with his A coupe, he's posted some stuff on that recently. Anyway, glad I finally got the stones to join up and take it like an fng. Pleasure to be around so much talent and looking forward to learning a ton more. Okay, is that enough ass kissing to post now? Michael
Ha,ha,he,he, Welcome Michale, To The Hamb . Funny How Some Fng's Are Really Old Pros When It Comes Down To It. Rafa.
No ass kissing if you have been a lurker that long and know yer shit. Welcome aboard. South Austin has it going on. See alot of kool rides coming out of yer neck of the woods. KNUX!
Thanks for the welcome guys, but don't get me wrong. I don't want to misrepresent myself here. I may be old, but I'm no pro! This stuff is new to me and half of the time I have no clue what I'm doing, thats why I come here!
That's what this is all about. Gaining knowledge. I have learned a great deal and have met alot of kool kats with kool rides on here at shows that I would have never had met if it wasn't for the HAMB....."VIVA LA HAMB"!!!!!!!!!!! KNUX!
a fellow S. Austinite! 78745 here, welcome (can I say that? I am a newbie as well...dunno if i can really welcome you, but welcome none the less)
I lurked. I joined. I piped in. I also welcome you even though I am a newbie here also. I'm in deep south Austin (Manchaca TX). I'm getting back into the old stuff again...
welcome to the hamb bitch. cheers for more pontiac powered hot rods. oh yeah, did you see the newest ol' skool hot rod Z? it's the bomb!!!
What's up Michael-good to see ya here. Will the truck be ready for Roundup? Will we all get kicked out of Trophy's back parking lot like last year? Will the highschool girls at 7-11 finally recognize us for the kool older guys that we are? it remains to be seen
I remember the good 'ol days...when we both drove 67 a-bodies. parts were easy to find...ahh yes. memories.
Yes, Lux, the good ol' days. Now who can even afford an A-body? What am I saying, I can't afford to build this truck either! Guess we all have expensive tastes messin' with these contraptions. No Kevin, the truck won't be ready for most likely years. Hate to say it but it's true. Starting from a shell and an idea. Plus helping with Mark's coupe is sort of the priority when we're at the shop. I have more patience than money, so it works out okay. As far as Trophy's goes, I'm playing with the Lifters on the night of the Roundup, so HELL YES, we'll all get kicked out!! Kiki! Viva la Poncho, Pinche Bendejo!!
