Hey Guys...and Gals...Whats shakin' ? Yep, I'm new to the site and I'm really impressed. Its great to see so many others so p***ionate about their rides. I purchased my 1964 Ford Galaxie about 6 months ago ( or should I say...saved her from rotting away in a feild ). This beauty was on the road up until 2009. I was amazed by the condition of the interior alone so I scooped her up. She had been sitting there for 2 years and after I dropped in a battery, ran a fuel line from a gas can to the fuel pump and cranked only 2 or three times, she fired and I drove her onto the car hauler for the trip home. I understand it's a long process but I so want to cruise her now...the way she is. But I've got plans to bag her out, do an old school flat paint scheme and finish her out with some traditional, hand laid pin striping. Possibly some lace work in the paint on the lid. Anyway...she's all original except for some aftremarket rims and tires. 289 w/ 3 on the tree. Just wanting to get involved in this site for questions and referrals that may arise during my rebirth of the 64'. I've always been a big car fan, but this is my first hot rod/ custom sled that I have had the pleasure to own...I must say..I am ADDICTED already...only wish I had opened my eyes to the scene long ago. Thanks for the help in advance and I look forward to chatting...learning...and experiencing with you soon. Keep it low and drag on !
Hi there LostJohnny6's, how about posting some pics of your car? Is it a 2 door hardtop, a convertible, a moredoor or a wagon. Before pics are important for us too so we can compliment you on how much better you've made it as you progress. Cheers.
