I am wondering if anyone can tell me anything about my louver dies. I bought them from a old hot rodder years ago so i think they may be old school dies but not sure. what i would like to know is, are they home made or did some company make these and are there others like them out there?

Looks like a "Good Times Louver Co." die set. The earlist of these were hand finished, so, each one is slightly different, later on, he got CNC, so they were all the same.
I don't remember the guys name, delt with him many times, as I have one of his presses, at some point, he went out of business.

Cant help with, who made them, but as a toolmaker for many years, I can appreciate, the amount of work it would take to build these, doing the radius work , and heat treat of the cutter tooling inserts , ect. What ever you paid for them, it was a bargin, years of good use, left in those. This also makes me wonder with all the jobs sent to other countries, how many younger people ,we have that will learn these skilled trades, and are they lost when the older guys pass? Sorry to get off the subject, just thinking out loud!
