My galaxie hood is so flat and wide- I had no idea how many louvers would look good- it so different from my shoebox hood...

My shoebox hood has 8 rows of 18- it was punched in the early sixtys.

Redpunks louver press has been working overtime... he had the old school ROUND 3" louver dies made. They rule, they're just like my shoebox louvers.

I photoshoped in 4 more after the 8 rows of 19- I think this is were we'll end up. 23 per row-

I think it'll work out to be balanced just right- I've never seen a galaxie hood louvered---

If you were really cool, you'd mold a Pro-street hood scoop on it.

graverobber- The only problem I had cutting that inner support out was the glue they used to seal it to the hood- I thought I was gonna bend the **** out of the sheet metal takeing it off.

I attached a pic of the inside of the galaxie hood----

The hood holds shape really well without that inside I was suprised- but I saved it just incase I need to weld it back in-

heres a pic of my shoebox hood.

Here's my new hood. It's still in the shop to be painted. I can't complain because I can't drive my car yet anyway.

Gee, I louvered my '64s hood back when I had hair! You can't see it in the video but they're there. Don't have the Galaxie (or the Halibrands) and my hair is jumping ship! ****.
