I should take pictures of some of the things that p*** thru my press, Usually don't as they're raw unpainted and not much to look at the time. My 51 sports a louvered rear tray and my oil pan is also louvered, one of these will have to get around to louvering my ****** pan.

  4. Zapato, you took the words right out of my mouth, in the thirty years or so that I've been louvering, lots of parts have p***ed through the JAWS of my press, but I never seem to take the time to shoot many pictures. Glad you mentioned your louvered oil pan ...cool idea...I'm definetly going to do that to my 50' before I put the motor back in this week.

A guy I know helped me with these. I had never done it before and it was daunting. My plan was also to buy another hood.

that's the Mercury pile. work keeps piling up around here....

it's a body that was found in a field in Nevada, just like you see it. It's now on a modified frame, late model motor/trans/rear, no airbags.

    just another project.

Thanks to Tokyo I got this hood and fenders that was punched in the late fiftes/ early sixties, and never made it on the car...

at first I ***umed the pics were in oxide primer-
but the hood and fenders had been in bare metal in a barn since then...
drove to Omaha to get em...

at first I thought louvered fenders would look funny on the shoebox... they used to do this-
but nope... the RULE and they're functional.

Good louvers are have a perfect round arch on the backside-

That poor pinstriper is Dennis Ricklefs. When I had him flame the car- I had thoughts of going around the louvers. Not Dennis. He insisted on doing it this way- let the flames dictate the lay-out- not the louvers.
    Here he is- at work.

These are panels to go underneath the Es*** tails on the track roadster project.
One is the pan below the engine and the other goes under the back of the ch***is.
The pannel next to the louvered 39 pie cut hood have the louvers punched the wrong way, be careful.
The good ones were at Uncle Johnnys, HAMB member.

You do realize that if you do that you'll need some scientifically trained oil ?

  24. Some I did in an aluminum A roadster lid.

Here are photos of my louvers, The white panel under the hood is .032 aluminum and it keeps water off the engine and engine heat out of the cowl vent.

  29. This is the hood for my 53 Merc. Im thinking that this hood will be my "not rainning" day hood and I will get another for the rest of the time. I live in Seattle and the truck will be a daily driver when it's done.
