Louvers!! Let's see some pix!!!

Sneak Preview!! Here is the underbelly of a pickup that we are going to show at the Grand National Roadster Show in L.A. in January 2010.

 

I'm with Zappato and paulweldit from page two- I've louvered about half a million panels in nearly twenty years, but haven't taken too many pictures. Some that I have photographed I promise I will post as soon as I can get some help to do so.

 

Where is Louver Dude in all this????

Just did these, posted them a week ago !

 

Sometimes it can truly be overdone, have done a couple (customers' choice) that called for complete coverage. No style or flair to the design just ends up looking like a cheese grater.

 

Here is the underbelly of a pickup we will be showing at the Grand National Roadster Show in L.A. January 2010. There are over 1400 louvers on the truck.

I tend to prefer louvers that are functional; actually managing air flow for the benefit of cooling the engine or the interior. The "I'm driving a giant cheese grater look" just seems odd to me.

 

you just don't have the coolest welder.....until you have some louvers!!

 

We louvered this 28-29 CCPU corner panel (extended 6-1/2" by Howell) before ***embling the cab. We also did the door panels on the Zipper and I threw in the Falcon hood just because.

Anyone know where you can get this style louvre punch ???

 

My deck lid is now louvered.

 

I'd like to know too, anyone?

Note the qtr window..did an al. panel with louves to pull some air in.. works OK...

Langy these were made by a company named Good Times Louvre in Ca
in the late 80's. I bought my Louverpress from there back then. They sold
the dies for this particular Louverstyle as well. I didn't by a set back then though......

Just got my press done and this is what i came up with

 

I bought these two panels at the u-pull it for 10 bucks for the pair, it's pretty thick maybe 16 guage. Should be good for cutting into strips and welding them where ever, even on the frame rail.
