Hi All, I have been thinking about the hood for my 28 on 32 rails roadster project. I really like the look of the long louvers on a stock hood but this obviously won't fit with the stretched wheel base. So I am kicking around ideas on how to do this. First would be to lengthen a stock hood side. The other would be to make a custom aluminum hood side and send it to someone for louvers. But I don't know if it is possible to get long stock style louvers done and who dose them. Any input? Thanks, --louis
long louvers can be rolled into the hood sides with a bead roller and the appropriate dies. i have never seen it done , but Eastwood has them https://www.eastwood.com/louver-dies-for-bead-roller.html also , i'm sure Rootleib would make custom hood sides for you
A good body man with a pullmax and the right tooling can make any length louver you want, just need a good body man...
