    Those early PS years were great, all the cars were so wonky looking. The front wheels would be all out of wack looking. I think it was one of the Missle cars was cut down the middle and narrowed and put back together. The front sheet metal would be drooped over trying to get through the air better. I had read one time Jenkins was in the finals and he drained the oil out of the trans and the rearend looking for a couple hundredths . Crazy times for sure.

    The Fairmont never lost 1 round of competition. Undefeated in 1978.

  19. Stumbled upon this on FB. This is so cool and is emblematic of the early days of PS. A SOHC-powered Maverick is stinkin' cool. Anyone know who it is?

    A Modified production thread would be good also, nothing like a small block turning about 10 grand and letting the clutch out . Plus that is where all the 63 vettes went.
