Low Mount Alt Bracket SBC

I am looking for an alternator bracket, Short Water Pump SBC. The only non billet I have been able to find is through Speedway. Anyone have any experience or want to point me elsewhere. Stock Delco alternator and no A/C.

 

I have this type of bracket on my roadster and Speedway motors is where it was purchased.HRP

 

Alan Grove makes pretty much any bracket you want for a SBC.

 

Look for a early 60s Chevy van (with the engine behind the seats). Chevy used a nice looking set-up that mounts the alt. low on the driver's side so it would clear the doghouse. It's what I used on my T.

Like posted above, Alan grove makes about any bracket you need for a s.b.c out of plain steel. When I put the 3-deuce set-up on my sedan I used one of his alternator brackets and it fit and worked perfectly. I did'nt need to reengineer it or cut it up to make it fit. If you want something that fits and works the first time he's the man!!

 

make one if you have a welder. or get someone to weld one for you after you get the metal ready.

 

DAMN!! I sound like a walking advertisment for Alan Grove Componets...Sorry. They do fit and work...wonder where my cut is???

I bought one on eBay that looks just like the one in the photo. The seller was "bigbauto". Beware of these folks ! They sent the wrong thing, screwed me on the return shipping, finally sent the one I ordered. The chrome was beautiful (big deal !), but the adjusting slot was so far off that I had to take the die-grinder to it to get the snug bolt in....

Oh, yeah....it was made in China. Imagine that.
