Low mount alternators for pre-war frames

    I decided there was no way I was going to put my alternator up high or outside the head.
    Several companies make mounts that locate the alternator here, but none of them would clear my frame rail. The mid mount stuff is for LWP's and of course we all run SWP's

    I figured it might help someone else out..... so here it is.

  2. I have solid engine mounts and the alternator is frame mounted. never had a problem

  4. Nice and clean! You could have some waterrjet cut and offer them asw a kit!

    I may have to head out to the shop and make some cardboard templates!

    Well, I tried that lower mount effort on a model A...it had a P&J frame with Vega cross steering, and the alternator interfered with the steering box. Low is certainly the way to go, though (wow...almost a poem) - and your installation is as sanitary as I've seen in awhile.
