Two quick anecdotes from the misty past (my past) ........ #1 - When my older brother came home from the Army where he had been stationed at Ft Bliss, a stone's throw from Juarez, he was all excited to take his best friend, friend's younger brother, and myself on a week-long road trip to show us the Mexican dive bars, shopping district, and other etceteras. He had a '56 Chevy with bad rings and little compression that used oil like it was free beer. For the trip, we had a case of oil and a case of Motor Honey in the trunk, and every time we stopped for anything, we poured a can of each in the crankcase. #2 - In '63 when I was too young and poor to have my own place, I was boarding at my best friend's family's place. His older brother worked at a plant that made those spiral-wrapped cardboard oilcans. One day he came home early wearing just the neck-ring of his T-shirt. It seems those cans were wrapped as a long tube to be sliced later on. He was leaning too close to the "tube" and almost got pulled in to become part of the label. He had a section of the tube wrapping the label over the shirt that looked like a boa constrictor that swallowed a goat.
