Just for fun and it works too! Last year I put together my home made A/C (swamp cooler), the only drawback is you have to recharge the coolant every gas stop, anotherwords, add ice. I made a scoop to stick out the right vent window for fresh air, you pull the scoop in for recirculate, the hose is, you guessed it, drier exhaust hose, the pipes go to the bottom of the cooler and have holes drilled in both, when you fill it the air circulates through the ice, at anything above 25 MPH you don't have to use the blower. I drove to Louisville, KT in August from south Alabama with the windows up for the first time ever, it won't cool the inside of the car, but I stayed comfortible, and every one that saw it had a good time talking about it. Now I need to figure out how to put coals in it for winter use, just kidding!
Saw that in another thread. Pretty cool. Folks used to come up with stuff like that all the time before we got spoiled with modern ammenities. Makes me think you could design something around the cowl vent?
Yep...saw it too, got a kick out of the pissed-off bee...but to solve that problem, put a screen on either end...outside and he won't get in, inside and the poor little thing will freeze to death...problem solved... R-
