I think the ill-advised part of the chop is actually very small. It's just the very rear, where the curves tend towards simple curves and there seem to be some straight lines. A little bit more crown would fix that.

I wonder what gloss paint would do for the general look.

Really?? I thought it was pretty sweet..
Ok how bout this custom truck...

In a word, the truck (like the green T) is "garish"!
adjective 1. crudely or tastelessly colorful, showy, or elaborate, as clothes or decoration.

    2. excessively ornate or elaborate, as buildings or writings.

    3. dressed in or ornamented with bright colors.

    4. excessively bright; glaring.

It looks like some of the stuff on Gas Monkey Garage and Counting Cars.

    Horrible flames including the interior.
Outside visors should never go on a chopped car (except Model A's).
    Mirrors are fugly.
Bolt on 'muscle' gauges also don't belong on the truck.
Painted grille and chromed cowl vents=yuck.

The truck seems to suffer from "too much work". A few more "additions" and it will look like the green T, which is a bad case of; "Lets see;what else can I add to this car before the next show".

The shoebox would be dinamite if it lost the hood scoop and had the "dropped on" back window redone. Thanks for sharing, the comp looking cars are cool!

The flamed truck also has (much)later rear fenders.

The "EYE" is so important, evident especially when it's not present.

Heck, I'd take any of em' and do what one always has to do......modify it to MY taste. Pretty easy to get rid of the scoop, etc. Not everyone will like any vehicle and thats a good thing. Wouldn't it be boring if they were all built to suit one persons taste. Haters will hate, lovers will love. It's your pick.
