History Low Riders, Zoots Suiters and "Pachucos"

I sure like looking at the older photos… the newer hydraulic hopping “3 wheelers” just don’t quite have what the 40-50’s guys had and did…

 

I kinda dig both
A couple of these ‘old’ pics posted are newer. But the majority of the B&W pics seem legit. Some came from archival collections.
Some owners aren’t “Zoot suitors” but the cars have features attributed to that style of ride.
I used to not be a fan of spot lights and visors. I’m digging em now.

 

Coming from East Elay, I like all old bombers and newer low riders. The paint, the detail, the metal workmanship...all go together to make a lifestyle. Some new pictures are of sons driving their dad's cars.
I believe though that a car should be lowered the old way, at the muffler shop with a torch and a pack of Camel or Chesterfields. Old guys will know that last sentence.
