I'm using the Genesis Auto Parts Radiator (2 row - 16 1/12 x 19 1/14 x 1 3/34) that is listed in the FAQ Sticky in my '55 Customline. The issue I'm running into is trying to find a lower radiator hose to go from the 1 3/4" water pump to the 1 1/4" radiator. Most of the hoses I'm seeing online will step down 1/4" from end to end but not 1/2". That's why the upper was pretty easy to solve as it was 1 1/2" at the thermostat and 1 1/4" at the radiator (picture of it in my album).

I've searched the main board and this forum for existing threads but all I have found is the suggestion to take my measurements to the local parts store and look around. Before I waste my time dealing with the kid behind the counter has anyone else had this same setup and found the correct hose that will work?

I prefer to have one that is pre-bent instead of a flexible hose if at all possible.

    Thanks

  2. what i did was i put a 1 1/4" piece of rad hose on the fitting and slipped the 1 3/4" hose over that and used 3 clamps..not one drop of coolant hit the ground.. just an idea if ya can't find anything else

Thanks Jeff. I was already looking at that Dayco 70778 but couldn't figure out how to get the radiator end down to 1 1/4". Looks like that Summit adapter will do the trick.
