I have a 57 pontiac. front end is king pin style. I lowered mine by used tri5 lowering springs and blocks in back. the rear springs mount to the shackles thru tapper shafts not bolts, so keep that in mind good luck! no pictures lost them and wagon is in getting body work done.
Here is a spy pick of what one of the "Kats" new project. Gary Mundy is working over his '58, lot of kool things done to it. I'll post more pics when he gets further along. Happy Trails, Mick
Get ready for a loooong wait.. alot of us are still waitin on the 80's style street rod fad to fully DIE
Patina isn't bad, just good excuse why hasn't been painted yet. Kinda like my belair Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Looking like a good start, I would keep the outside body work minimal and concentrate on the mechanicals. Real patina looks better than fake patina or flat black IMO. I like the looks of Hambers Old Gold's 57. Lowered real nice and what looks like late model 70-80's Buick wheels painted to mimic salt flat wheels.
B.I.L ... Lowered Station Wagon no bags drop spindles and leafs http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=689491
Yeah...used universal bag buckets in front with 2600 denominator bags up front , and on back kept 3 leafs and 3 inch lowering blocks. Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
