lowering a '50 ford car with MOOG CC850 coils

    one side done and looks like i'm gonna do the other side tonight since it's 95 degrees and i don't need a sunburn! gotta hand it to you young bucks that want their "shoeboxes" low i will never do this again, screw that!

    truck is back on the ground! I can say if i owned 49-51 ford car and wanted to lower it this is cheap way to go to drop it 2.5"! ordered all my parts through amazon. One thing i will add if you decide to unbolt the lower control arms from the crossmember by removing the 4 bolts get yourself a piece of 1/2" threaded rod and a 12" piece of angle or box steel for R&R of the old and new spring or .... If you unbolt at spindle you might not need the threaded rod but it will make the job way easier since it contains the spring for a piece of mind! safety first!

    Just did swapped out coils on my fifty last week. The ride is awesome! It will drop between 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Flat end up! Flat end up! It Does get it close to the bump stop though. The bottom control arm has a recess for coil end.
