Technical Lowering My '60 'Vert... Spindles or Springs?

    I believe Aerostar spring will lower your car to the point you wont be able to drive down those rough roads….why not try cut coil and blocks… a cut off wheel and some blocks are all your out..I’ve never had a problem going that route

  2. All I can say is my personal experience didn't work out that way, reasons unknown. My early tries were with using a torch, I then switched to a cut-off wheel upon advice, no discernable difference. All springs were removed for cutting, no cutting in place. The only difference between cut OEM and aftermarket springs was the OEM were slightly slower in sagging... but still did. I did multiple alignments and ate up multiple sets of front tires. It was a thoroughly frustrating experience each time. So I'm a bit gunshy about this method.
     
  3. I’ve cut a bunch of springs.
    I’ve installed a bunch of new low springs.
    The new ones ride better.
    In my worthless opinion.
