Trying to figure out whats the best spring to lower my 62 merc monterey. Want to bring it down 2 inches but still want a good ride. Anybody have any suggestions on what spring to go with that will fit a merc.

I lowered my 59 Chevy with new springs. I called these guys up http://www.coilsprings.com/
and told them what year/make/model/engine/trans I had and how much I wanted to lower it (3"). About 2 weeks and $300 later I had 4 springs and a low 59 that rode like it was brand new.

I'm pretty sure the Mercury Monterey and the Ford Galaxie share the same suspension. That being said, check out Jamco Suspension or Dearborn Cl***ics for lowering springs.

Before you get jumped on, you might want to try doing a search on here. A quick search for me returned the result of Jamco, and a bunch of results on how to cut your springs as well.
