Technical Lowering the rear of a F100

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Roothawg, Nov 20, 2022.

  1. I usually remove the springs and set the vehicle at the ride height I want, then roll the tires (correct height I want to use) under it.
    Then start planning.

  3. Don't know yet because I haven't measured, but I can always add wedge shims between the axle and springs if needed.

  4. @Irish Mike , I got it from LMC because they had the best (lowest) price at the time. And I bought the sides without the stake pocket holes because they're like $100 cheaper. The fit is typical for aftermarket pieces – they need some adjustment and massaging, but not too bad. I have two other sets of factory bedsides if anyone is in need.

@Irish Mike, on my last F100 build, I used Mar-K. It fit as advertised. They are local to me here in OKC.

  8. De-arch the crap out of the springs then use blocks to raise it back up after a 6 inch channel.
