ive been looking around, but no answer....
anybody have any ideas on how to come about this? the stock seat height on my 55 chevy is way too high. wanted to lower the hight at least 2"-3"... 4 or 5" lower would be perfect. probabbly even move the bench seat back a little too.
there has to be a way (other than buckets or swap seat springs with foam) to lower it.
im sure people out there have done it before...especially with the chop tops

Take out the tracks, and shorten them.

But also look at the upholstery, sometimes when they get redone, there is too much foam. Also you can tie the strings down a bit with twine, so they are compressed more, lowering the seat.
