Those Japanese know how to do it man. I would have thought those were show cars only but they actually DRIVE and hit switches. I liek their style. I would have never thought it was that much of a following out there. Very nice cars. Oh yeah and asian chicks......giddy giddy
I agree Groucho. I love his 50. Its really nice in person too. Here's my old 73 Caprice after I gave it some oldschool flavor. Sold it to Saul. He sold it to somebody in Long Beach I think. I keep seeing it at socal shows. I miss that car.
I made it from parts off an old lamp, a hardware store fixture, and the lid to my grandma's crystal sugar jar. I always wanted to get my grandma's crystal back because she's gone and the chandalier meant alot to me. But the new owner digs the oldschool style. He hasnt changed anything so I guess it belongs to the car now.
Thanks alot guys. Im so happy I don't have to sell this car anymore. At least not right now. lol. When I ran into Los Boulevardos at the first Van Nuys cruise i was pumped. Too bad you guys parked right after lol. But I love driving this car. I'm driving it to the GNRS tomorrow. Cars like this deserve to be on the street. This thread puts a smile on my face. Keep it old school.

^^^ Is that your project? ^^^^ That would be bad ass all done up. Do the Strays have one of those on their fleet? i kinda remember seein one.....
The lowriders at the GNRS were awesome. As Groucho knows, I love my cars and trucks as low or tall as possible. Someday I will build myself a lowrider. A '64 Impala convertible would be my dream. I do have a '66 Bel Air Wagon that will get Air Ride sooner than later I hope. I could go for a set of Supremes on it to live the lowrider life.
I got a call a couple of weeks ago, wanting a friends phone number. So he could film a piece of my buddy and Mr Cartoon, I wasn't familiar with Mr. Cartoon, But I gave him my friends #. Sat at the GNRS lunch I asked a couple of guys at the table if the knew anything about him, and was told his car was in bldg 5 and it was a 58 Impala. I'VE LOOKED AT THIS THREAD TWICE TODAY, AND OTHER GNRS THREADS WHERE ARE PICS OF THAT CAR. I WENT TO BLDG 5 SEEN THE CAR GROUCHO GET THE PICS UP ROGER
Follow some of the photobucket links in the threads on the Los Boulevardos board. I posted a couple pics. Eric took some too. http://www.losboulevardos.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7747&start=0 http://www.losboulevardos.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7754&start=0
Here's another GNRS thread with lots of lowriders. Many of these cars havent shown up in anyone's GNRS pics here on the hamb. Different people look for different stuff I guess. http://www.layitlow.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=524237
Cartoon's 58 was completed Thursday morning before move in. The 61 called Dr. GreenThumb belongs to him as well. It was completed in October 2009. He has two more club cars. A 62 rag and a Monte Carlo. Both of those cars were at GNRS last year. This is a photo of the 62 rag from a show in La Verne, CA.
