NO! This is so sad. This guy and his car was such a legend thanks to the magazine's and Chico and the Man. This man and his family has my prayer's.
I saw the "Summer Madness" '63 at the GNRS. That car is badass, and even the best photos don't do justice to seeing that car in person. I'm a 47 year old white guy who was born and raised in Kentucky who likes his hot rods loud, low, and fast, but I have a special place for the lowriders. The workmanship and pride in those cars is incredible. I hear guys talking down about them (the lowrider cars), and I just shake my head. They obviously know nothing about craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Yeah, I agree. I'm not a big fan of 64's (I like 63's and 65's and 59's) but there's no denying the 64 is THE lowrider.
Really? No lowrider had ever been on T.V. before 1974? It's the first one I remember seeing(and I was really unusual to me), but I was a six year old white kid in the suburbs in '74. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXdYrERzrWg
Yep. Personally, I like the '59s and the Six Twos better myself. But, I have this Six Four, so what do you do? Totally. Hey!! Take it easy now.
I couldn't agree more. I found this Imperials tribute video to Jesse. Gone too soon..........rest in peace. E <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qFfxTxZAQMg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
man theres just something dear and near to my heart when it comes to these lowriders. could be the obvious amount of effort involved and the attention to detail or that cultural link that lowriders have to their cars that make em just a little different from other genres of car fanatics. (could just be that every so often Ill see a Buick Riviera running in the pack!)
That Weird Al pic is gangsta... cruzingratiot, what happened to that 58? Was Godzilla in town? Gotta link to a story?
Wow, I love the combo...have to get me one some year. Fleetline Areo's are KQQL. It would go nice next to a Stylemaster coupe.
Love the wheels on the Fleetline Areo. How do you think they would look on my van? check out my blog for more pics http://www.XtremeMetro.Blogspot.com
