Well, here goes nothing. Ive lurked on here for years and occasionally comment, but never really had anything hamb worthy of contributing. Unfortunately this build is going to go a little slow for most of your liking, but I think the pressure from you********s might just keep me on task. In between farming and off topic fab projects, I came across this Thames E300. It was hot rodded on the cheap back in the late '70s by cutting the middle of the unibody out and stick welding some***** togther to fit a 350/350 to 10 bolt combo.

Structural C Channel for crossmembers and the left over bent up floor and unibody had to go. Plans became cut out all of the floor/unstructured and build the car into a full frame car. Add in the remnants of an old Vega race car and the idea starts taking shape.

Came up with the concept of a mild gasser stance, sbc/powerglide/narrowed 12 bolt, straight axle front combo.

Managed to cut out the entire front floor and front clip in one shot. Then I built a frame and stopped working on the car for a year.

Started back on it again in Jan. Cut out the rear flooring while leaving some of the bracing to keep the body rigid and mocked up the body onto the frame to get a better idea of what the hell to do next.

Had an idea last week to clean up the front end: ditch the stock head lights in favor of some vertically mounted t-bird quad headlights.

Good start to a pretty funky looking car haha. Its definitely cool though. I like the headlight idea. Good luck with the rest of the build.

I like the whole concept, EXCEPT, if this is mostly a street car, then at least use a TH350. Powerglides are fine for the strip, but really boring on the street; at least in my experience. I build Glides for the local bracket racers, and we even used one of my Glides in my nephews 51 Bus coupe, and it really needs that "extra" gear to smooth things out. JMO. Collecting parts and refining the build a little. Just picked up a .030 over 4 bolt main sbc with an edelbrock intake and a Holley carb. Might have a lead on a t5 instead of an auto.

Mocked the car up at ride height to get started on a new frame to change the stance and attitude of the car.

Threw the motor on some blocks to get an idea of how it'll sit in the chassis
