Hello everyone I am new to this site and was recommended it by a friend. I am having issues regarding an LS6 torque converter for a 4l60e. I have bought an engine and gearbox as a package from Tim Adams race engines at great cost but it appears they are not as good as I hoped. Trying to get contact with them is extremely difficult and I have ended up with a bit of a dogs dinner to my great cost. The issue i am having is trying to marry up the gearbox/transmission with the Ls6. They have sent me two torque converters that supposedly fit and although they fit the transmission beautifully they just wont marry up to the engine/flex plate. The center hub on the torque converter sticks out to far and hits the engine before it allows the bell housing to meet the block. Looking at videos online some of the older engines show a recess that allows this center hub to locate, however my engine is flush at the center of the flex plate no rebate? should this be the case or should that center hub be allowed to slide in to something to allow the torque converter and bell housing the room to mate up flush? Have they installed the wrong part on the engine itself? Is it meant for a manual gearbox and flywheel? Pulling my hair out here and would greatly appreciate any advice or recommended videos. There is not much on the net unfortunately.... All the best

usually the end of the crankshaft is hollowed and the snout of torque converter rests in the crank end. Your crank is solid on the end? You sure the converter is clocked and sat into the trans pump correctly? Can do damage if not
