I have a 1970 type Chevy LT-1 new short block that was recently clearance checked, fresh hone and assembled in NC that does R&D work for Chevrolet. (At least used to before O). I have no idea what it is worth. Any suggestions ?

  2. You might need to supply more information than that. Stock cam? Stock bore and stroke? Pistons? A 1970 LT1 block is just a four bolt common block. Its what is put into it for the total over all build that makes it what it is.

Is it a 3970010 '70 dated, 4-bolt block? If so, what are the numbers (date code and stamp pad). I might be interested...

not if you are a Corvette weenie. it's all about the numbers

  7. more info needed:
especially date code on the back of the block, suffix code stamp on the front pad and build specs

  8. LT1 "TYPE" "NEW" short block...I doubt its a tagged original.
